The Sonic Max LM Series multi-channel gas ultrasonic flowmeters are designed to accurately measure the volume flow rate and volume of gases under various operating conditions. Additionally, they can calculate the volume flow rate and volume reduction to standard conditions, velocity, mass, and heat of combustion of various gases including natural and associated oils. These advanced features make our ultrasonic flowmeters an indispensable tool for a wide range of industries.
The Sonic Max LM Series multi-channel gas ultrasonic flowmeters operate by measuring the time difference between upstream and downstream ultrasonic pulses of the gas, which is proportional to the flow rate. This measurement is then converted into gas volume flow rate. The flowmeter consists of an electroacoustic transducer (PEA), a measurement section, and a signal processing unit.
The measurement section can be a Sonic Max LM Series multi-channel gas ultrasonic flowmeter body or a cut-in design section of an existing pipe. The signal processing unit provides a transmitter that supplies the KMC-M mono gas ultrasonic flowmeter and generates a standard output signal for gas flow and volume under operating conditions.
In the versions that have built-in calculators, the signal processing equipment also receives current signals from temperature and pressure sensors, calculates the flow rate under standard conditions, heat value, and logs the readings.
Technical Parameters:
The meter may include a flow preparation device depending on the version:
Factory calibration and verification of flowmeters can be performed by integrating all components of the flowmeter into the measuring line (higher precision versions available on special orders).
Application Fields:
Flowmeters with built-in flow computers and temperature and pressure sensors allow for volumetric flow measurement under standard conditions. All components of the complex operate under a full range of operating conditions (-50 to +50 °C, IP67).
Advantages of Sonic Max LM Series Multi-channel Gas Ultrasonic Flowmeter over other flowmeter types:
Compared with turbine, differential, and mechanical flowmeters:
Compared to the Coriolis mass flowmeter:
